Jamie Aziz, Esq.
Jamie Aziz is an experienced lawyer who represents businesses with a variety of common concerns including; business formation, contract drafting and negotiations, labor and employment issues, government contract bids, business immigration, and compliance. Additionally, Ms. Aziz represents creative entrepreneurs and artists seeking to protect their intellectual property rights and recently successfully settled a copyright infringement matter against a major television network. She also negotiates licensing and royalty agreements, and drafts model releases and sales contracts for artists and entrepreneurs.
Ms. Aziz was employed as in-house counsel for a production company prior to forming Aziz & Associates. While there, she drafted bids on government contracts, developed and implemented business policies and procedures, and drafted and negotiated complex sales contracts. Before working in-house, Ms. Aziz was in private practice where she worked on internal fraud investigations, merger and acquisition matters, patent litigation, qui tam whistle blower violations, and immigration matters.
Prior to graduating magna cum laude from the Michigan State University College of Law, Ms. Aziz served as an editor on law review and she interned in-house for a major insurance company. She was a founding member of the American Constitution Society Student Chapter, where she held a board position and assisted in the production of a nationally-recognized symposium on direct democracy.
